CONVERSE, 2015
For the prerelease of the new Converse Chuck Taylor, I was asked by Interview Magazine to "deconstruct/modify or photograph the shoe in any way you want." I chose to put the brand new shoes that were provided to me on a street corner across from my studio and photograph, from the roof of my studio with a telephoto lens, the moment a passerby decides to take the shoe. On July 22nd 2015 around noon my partner at OKFocus, Jules LaPlace set the shoes in their desired location, about 5 people passed by them, looking, considering if to take. About 8 minutes in, we had a taker. The following is documentation of the work:
